Our global leading cutting edge healthcare (F500) client has a current opening for a Senior Software Engineer – Cybersecurity/Python in the North Chicago area or Dallas, Texas area. This is a new position due to company growth in the company's R&D group.
Our top global F500 healthcare client currently has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer – Cybersecurity/Python. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the development and maintenance of diagnostic procedures for diagnostic test analyzers, and will support and implement Iron Python scripts.
What You’ll Do- Participate in a team-oriented environment to define and develop user interface, business rules, and data management applications.
- Execute software development life cycle activities from requirements through design verification.
- Develop, test and integrate software using current software technologies.
- Estimate and plan own work activities; coordinate activities with other software engineers and review others' work.
- Apply the latest software design and development tools and techniques as required.
- Support software feature definition activities by working closely with system engineers, developers, testers, and other subject matter experts.
- Investigate on-market issues, determine appropriate corrections, and implement those corrections within our software engineering process.
Required: B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline (Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering) with 7‑8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with a master’s degree.
ExperienceMust have: Strong background in Python, .NET/C#, other scripting and SQL.
- Extensive experience developing Windows Desktop applications utilizing the .NET framework.
- Experience in cryptographic standards and methods, detailed knowledge of cryptographic key management.
- Knowledge of threat modeling, vulnerability and compliance assessments and mitigation.
- Experience with secure configuration/hardening of systems.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, DISA STIGs, policies, and procedures is a plus.
