Bay Care Health Systems is currently seeking a Residential Advocate to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Northside Behavioral Health.

• Monitors self‑administration of medications and reconciles medication.
• Completes admission documents, living skills assessment, treatment plans/updates, monthly progress notes, activity notes, discharge documents, environmental/infection control rounds, and monthly fire drills.
• Teaches/educates residents on basic living skills, kitchen/fire safety, and preparation for weather emergencies.
• Assists/attends to physical maintenance/cleanliness of facility and monitors supplies.
• Completes maintenance requests, fire extinguisher checks, and weekly bedroom/bath or apartment inspections.
• Facilitates community meetings and social activities/groups.
• Supports supervisor and informs supervisor of unusual situations/behaviors.
• Completes incident reporting, communication log entries, and shift report notes.
• Transports residents as needed.
• Communicates with treatment team.
• Complies with AHCA regulations/mandates.
• Reports changes in condition to appropriate staff for intervention or hospitalization.
• Responds to emergencies according to program procedures.
• Provides direct monitoring/visual contact for residents deemed a risk to self or others.
• In group homes, monitors food inventory, prepares/serves meals per menu, manages proper food handling, and documents substitutions.
• Conducts chart reviews for compliance.

• Basic cooking skills.
• Required Experience:
  
  6 months caretaking OR customer service OR behavioral health OR enrollment in a college program seeking a psychology, social work, or related field degree.
• Florida Driver's License (Coverage requires drivers to be 21 years old with 2 years of driving experience; drivers over 69 may require a driver’s road test).
• BLS certification (within 60 days).
• First Aid certification (within 60 days).
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
