We are seeking an experienced, customer‑focused HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team at Eskimo‑Bros AC & Heating serving the Tampa Bay and Sarasota regions. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is technically strong, safety‑minded, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, year‑round service environment.
Key Responsibilities- Service & Repair
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including heat pumps, gas furnaces, air handlers, condensers, mini‑splits, and package units
- Perform routine maintenance, tune‑ups, and system inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues
- Recommend repair options and system improvements to customers
- Customer Interaction
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, property managers, and business owners
- Provide accurate explanations of findings, repair options, and pricing
- Maintain a clean, respectful presence on job sites
- Documentation & Compliance
- Use Housecall Pro to complete service tickets, estimates, and job notes accurately and on time
- Follow all company safety protocols, EPA regulations, and local code requirements
- Maintain truck inventory and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order
- Team & Operational Support
- Collaborate with dispatch and office staff to ensure efficient scheduling
- Participate in on‑call rotation for after‑hours or emergency service
- Support training of junior technicians when needed
- 5+ years of HVAC service experience preferred (residential or light commercial)
- EPA 608 Certification required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in Florida’s heat and humidity, including attic and rooftop environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use ladders safely
- Proficiency with Housecall Pro software
- Experience with smart thermostats, zoning systems, and variable‑speed equipment
- Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes
