Position Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all HVAC, refrigeration systems, and plant packaging and production equipment within the plant. The technician follows directions from the Maintenance Manager and/or Plant Manager, monitors maintenance issues within the assigned territory, and ensures timely and efficient resolution for service calls. The role aims to continuously improve the reliability and sustainability of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
EssentialFunctions
- Perform daily checks/inspections on refrigeration system and components to verify proper operation.
- Make adjustments to refrigeration systems as needed to maintain correct and optimal operation on an industrial ammonia refrigeration plant.
- Follow detailed instructions both written and oral.
- Precisely follow maintenance procedures.
- Work with supervisors, outside contractors, and team members.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Accept responsibility and accountability, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Ensure accurate completion of checklists and recording of associated data.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting, and current service skills.
- Plumbing, welding, and fabrication.
- General maintenance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reading mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Customer relations, interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and service.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to take minimal direction to achieve results.
- Great oral and written communication skills.
- Required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED. - There will be a 60-day training/qualifying period from date of hire.
- Attend third party Ammonia refrigeration training.
- Required Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years working as a maintenance or service technician; minimum of 5 years working with industrial refrigeration/HVAC systems.
- Strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
US Hourly Pay Range
$35 - $40 USD
