HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair a broad range of appliances, HVAC units, electrical systems, and plumbing components using industry‑standard tools and documentation.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot heating and cooling systems, including air conditioning equipment, boilers, and refrigeration systems.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment performance and reliability.
Analyze wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system layouts to identify faults accurately.
Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components such as motors, compressors, valves, controls, and panels.
Use testing and repair equipment, including electrical meters and mechanical or welding tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
Adhere strictly to all applicable safety regulations, building codes, and compliance standards related to HVAC/R, electrical, and plumbing work.
Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to support quality control and accountability.
Provide clear explanations to clients regarding findings, completed work, and recommended system care or upgrades.
Respond promptly to maintenance issues such as leaks, electrical malfunctions, or climate‑control inefficiencies to support overall property operations.
Required Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated hands‑on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R, electrical systems, or plumbing services.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
Practical knowledge of refrigeration systems and HVAC fundamentals; experience with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
Understanding of general construction and property maintenance practices.
Proficiency in using diagnostic instruments and repair tools safely and effectively.
Valid driver’s license with a reliable driving history; familiarity with operating service vehicles preferred.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex field‑service issues independently.
Additional experience in welding, boiler systems, or mechanical repair is highly advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
