We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician for the Tampa, FL location. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA certification.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air‑cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems.
- Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
- Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems.
- Provide high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial chiller and refrigeration equipment.
- Be comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical components, timers, contractors, relays.
- Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Continual learning and development through First Call Academy to maintain industry‑leading skill levels.
- Provide elite customer service to ensure we remain the first call for HVAC needs.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Active EPA certification.
- 2+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Technical training in HVAC or refrigeration preferred.
- Availability to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; effectively communicate with customers, explain problems and resolutions in an understandable manner.

:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret graphs.
