The Facilities Technician supports the continuous and effective operation of an organization’s physical premises. They are responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and improvements across a range of building systems and equipment, ensuring that the facility remains safe, functional, efficient, and compliant with applicable regulations. This role often involves both routine scheduled work and urgent responses to unexpected issues. This position is critical to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment, ultimately contributing to the organization’s productivity and reputation.

• Preventive Maintenance:
  Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.
• Repair and Troubleshooting:
  Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of facility issues, such as plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, HVAC breakdowns, and equipment failures.
• Project Execution:
  Participate in facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and installations.
• Maintenance Planning:
  Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Vendor Management:
  Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and occupants. Participate as a Facilities Safety Officer.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders.
• Event Coordination:
  Set up and tear down for company events.
• Janitorial Support:
  Maintain and clean areas as needed.
• On-Call Responsibilities:
  Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs.

• Mid: 5-10 Years
• Senior: 10+ Years
• Hands on experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or related trades.
• Proven expertise and/or experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and/or general maintenance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, plumbing and basic mechanical systems. Proficiency with hand and power tools, testing instruments, and common maintenance equipment.
