Electrical Apprentice – Winter/Spring 2026 Class (January – April)

Join Mission Critical Solutions as an Electrical Apprentice in Tampa, Florida. This full‑time permanent position is part of a four‑year apprenticeship program through the I.E.C. The apprentice works Monday‑Friday 7 am‑4 pm, with additional classroom sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm‑9 pm.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing, repairing, or replacing electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber‑optic, line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts.
• Installing, repairing, or replacing generators and industrial storage batteries.
• Installing electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment required to comply with the CEC and/or NEC.
• Installing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial equipment and connected devices.
• Communicating clearly and concisely.
• Maintaining a working knowledge of the NEC.
• Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics.

Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Apprenticeship training preferred.

Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA Badge.

• Detailed knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Enrollment in the IEC program (currently enrolled candidates preferred).
• Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• English reading, speaking, and understanding proficiency.
• Knowledge of safe working practices (e.g., OSHA, Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out).
• Clean background and ability to pass a required drug screening.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime.
• Capability to climb ladders.
• Own transportation (public transportation is limited at most locations).
