Screed Operator

Overview

Position:
Screed Operator at Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC
. Responsible for the safe and proper operation of the equipment and contribute to the total Ajax team effort by supporting the foreman in completing the work as directed.

• Match all paver joints and maintain consistent joints.
• Keep screed adjusted properly and maintain mat quality.
• Assist in handwork as needed.
• Set up screed electronics in conjunction with Paver Operator.
• Assure proper storage and maintenance of all screed equipment.
• Job site clean up.

• Enforce all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook.
• Ensure all Ajax quality standards are met.
• Ensure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations.

• Field environment – outdoor conditions, noise and heat.
• Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required.

• Report to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized.
• Provide proper notification and advance notice of absence.
• Avoid abusing or taking advantage of personal days off.
• Perform other duties as required.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, climbing, low level work, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
