General Handyman

Job Overview

A local handyman business is seeking a skilled and reliable General Handyman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have their own tools, reliable transportation, and experience in a variety of repair and maintenance tasks. This individual must be honest, trustworthy, hard‑working, and have strong general skills – but we are willing to train the right person. Full‑time and part‑time positions are available.

• Mounting artwork, mirrors, and TVs on drywall safely and securely.
• Drywall repair, including patching, sanding, and applying orange peel or other texture.
• Performing hardwood floor and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) repairs.
• Tile repair for walls and floors.
• Window and door screen repairs.
• Installing shiplap and performing related carpentry tasks.
• Exterior repairs, including siding, hardy board, fascia, soffit, trim and stucco.
• Sprinkler head and basic irrigation system repairs.
• Pressure washing for exteriors, driveways, and patios.
• Hanging, installing, and repairing cabinets and vanities.
• Additional handyman tasks as assigned.

• Competitive pay $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
• Signing bonus $500 after 60 days.
• Flexible hours and supportive team environment.

• Covered by worker’s compensation insurance according to state law.
• Option for Christian health sharing.

• Experience with general home repairs and maintenance (willing to train).
• Must have own tools.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel within Hillsborough & Pinellas Counties.
• Familiarity with mounting hardware and wall anchors.
• Ability to perform minor carpentry, flooring, tile, and exterior repairs.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing and irrigation systems a plus.
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and handle power/hand tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and reliably.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
