ARMED SECURITY CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER - FT - 2ND SHIFT - SIGN-ON BONUS
Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.
Position OverviewLocations:
Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida
Employment Type:
Full-Time, 2nd Shift
Shift Time: 12:00 pm – 12:00 am
Starting Compensation: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour (varies by site position), plus $500 Sign‑on Bonus*
* Includes 27 hours of new‑hire paid training between minimum wage and site training at $18/hour.
Sign‑On Bonus Qualifications- Possess military or law enforcement experience
- Hold an Unarmed “D” Security License
- Hold an Armed “G” Security License
- Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
4‑hour unpaid Pre‑Hire Orientation.

- Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and using problem‑solving skills
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter
- Possession of approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACS
- Completion of an approved State of Florida 40‑hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course
- Possession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites
- 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity
- Intermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self‑motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks
- Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locations
- Capacity to obtain necessary personal uniform items
- Good physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 pounds
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the assigned uniform properly; tattoos must be covered, and grooming standards must be followed as per company policy. Please
- Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation
- Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines, including investigative techniques
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County
- CPR and first aid certifications or ability to obtain them
- College‑level education is strongly desired
