ARMED SECURITY CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER - PT - 1ST SHIFT - SIGN-ON BONUS

Job Overview

Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.

Locations: Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida

Employment Type: Part-Time, 1st Shift

Shift Times: 07:00 am – 07:00 pm

Training: Includes 27 hours of new hire paid training at $18/hour plus a 4-hour unpaid Pre-Hire Orientation.

Salary: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour, plus a $250 sign-on bonus.

Sign-On Bonus Qualifications

• Military or law enforcement experience.
• Unarmed “D” Security License.
• Armed “G” Security License.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Job Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly using problem‑solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter.

Required Qualifications And Licenses

• Florida Class “D” and “G” licenses from the State of Florida.
• Completion of a 40‑hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and a 28‑hour Armed Security Officer Course approved by the state.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificate.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Minimum Qualifications And Education

• Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable personal transportation to assigned job sites.
• 24/7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivity.
• Intermediate computer skills (emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong English communication skills, including reading, writing, and interpreting complex instructions.
• Ability to work safely in commercial and industrial environments.
• Capacity to obtain necessary uniform items.
• Good physical condition for walking up/down stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Maintaining a neat, professional appearance in uniform.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background investigation.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Knowledge of security and law enforcement guidelines and investigative techniques.
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances governing Hillsborough County.
• CPR and first aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• College-level education is strongly desired.
