As a Security Professional - Access Specialist in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .
As an Access Control Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will interact with the public, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following access control procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
- Document and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with local authorities and emergency responders when required.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required for driving positions.
- A valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required for driving positions.
- At least 6 months of prior security experience is required.
- Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- A valid guard card or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
