What You Will DoIn this vital role you will connect with medical professionals by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products and navigating the complex payer environment. You will serve as the primary customer contact, implementing marketing strategy and promoting Amgen products under the direction of the District Manager.
Responsibilities Include- Maintain current, comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate product utilization.
- Act as a sales leader, delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical education programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
- Develop and manage customer relationships, customizing discussions based on customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities, and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and pursue continuous learning as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
- Demonstrate passion for Amgen products and sustain that passion throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and keeping patient service at the forefront.

We seek motivated individuals with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications (Specialty Representative)- Bachelor's Degree
- OR Associate's degree and 4 years of sales experience
- OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience, and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare or scientific field
- OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience, and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare or scientific field
- OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience, and/or clinical experience in a non‑sales healthcare or scientific field
- Sales, marketing or clinical experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical device, or medical supply industries.
- Some sales training or proven leadership under pressure (preferred for Specialty Representative).
- 3+ years’ experience (preferred for Senior Specialty Representative).
- Product or hospital sales experience in areas such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases, including disease and treatment knowledge.
- Advanced influencing and relationship‑building skills focused on sales outcomes.
- Local market knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

The annual base salary range for the Specialty Representative opportunity in the U.S. is $91,720 - $108,152.
The annual base salary range for the Senior Specialty Representative opportunity is $122,219 - $150,837.
