Position: Territory Manager (Comfort Medical)- Southern CA

Overview

The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through selling activities, cultivating business partnerships with key decision makers, driving market share and sales growth. The Territory Manager will target key customers by selling Comfort Medical’s service portfolio.

Major Areas of Accountability
  • Business Acumen:
    Effectively engage targeted accounts and develop and execute a clear plan to achieve territory sales objectives. Develop and implement strategies to maximize territory and company objectives, including analyzing key sales and marketing data to determine the most leverageable opportunities. Identify the customer environment, including clinical, financial and other decision makers, their issues and opportunities for Comfort Medical. Identify growth opportunities with community-based continence-based programs.

    Generate demand for assigned rehab centers and urology practices within the territory.
  • Selling

    Skills:

    Support community support groups and mentor newly injured patients in transition from rehab to home. Demonstrate consultative selling to uncover customer strategy and present financial and clinical impact. Plan daily call routines to ensure coverage of key accounts based on time, potential, location and process. Use available tools to maximize sales growth, marketing directives, sales reports and educational materials. Be knowledgeable of competitive activity and sales volume in each targeted account.
  • Relationship Building:
    Retain and grow business within current customers by identifying opportunities and formulating sales strategies. Develop and maintain long-term relationships that increase Comfort Medical usage within target accounts. Build productive cross-functional relationships to share knowledge and leverage synergies within the organization, including Coloplast field sales.
  • Clinical Knowledge and Self-Development:
    Maintain a clear understanding of clinical and technical product knowledge. Stay informed on competitive activity, market trends and industry information. Attend industry meetings/events for business development opportunities (e.g., trade shows, CMSA meetings) as required.
  • Administrative:
    Organize and manage information using CRM tools. Maintain current records and complete sales reporting and expense management, with routine use of Power

    BI and Brightree for timely account follow-up and planning. Adhere to ethical standards and company policies; comply with applicable laws and the Adva Med Code of Ethics on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education & Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of med tech sales experience, or 2-year associate degree with 5+ years of med tech sales experience, or 7+ years of med tech sales experience. DME or service-specific experience preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight, 25%–50%.
  • Credentialing requirements to access healthcare facilities/systems; in-person meetings with healthcare customers may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation
  • Base: around $80,000, potentially up to $85,000, and up to $90,000 for a perfect candidate.
  • Total compensation including variable:
    Variable is $66,000 at plan; paid monthly with overages above 100% paid twice a year (June and December); commission capped at $200,000; potential total annual income near $300,000.
  • On-target earnings (OTE): around $146,000 ($80k base + $66k variable).
  • Compensation Guarantee: approximately $41,000 of the variable is guaranteed in the first 12 months.
