Job Summary

Responsibilities include achieving the revenue targets set for a group of specialty publications with the Associations, Societies and Health Systems Division and driving growth and profitability. This role includes expanding our Digital First and Custom Program strategy, while maintaining our commitment to print publications. This position will manage an individual territory with a concentration in endocrinology and potentially other specialty markets based on experience.

Our clients include product or marketing managers at pharmaceutical and device companies, media planners or account managers at advertising agencies, and account managers at healthcare communications companies who wish to reach an audience of healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for overseeing the sale of products or services from beginning to end, serving as the direct point of contact with customers and ensuring that their needs and expectations are met.

Job Responsibilities
  • Sales of print and digital advertising campaigns, maximizing clients spending within your portfolio of publications/journals.
  • Strategic selling of multi-faceted (packages or series) custom program sales.
  • Represent our products and services with professionalism and care, beginning with a thorough understanding of each product and specialty market.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through the development of a robust pipeline of prospects and renewals.
  • Setting appointments, making effective qualifying sales calls, and managing the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.
  • Work to create a sales strategy for new and established targets in the endocrinology (and other) market that makes us a valuable resource for all of your customers’ needs.
  • Work with clients to understand their objectives and make recommendations that showcase our offerings in a compelling way.
  • Collaborate with internal digital ad operations team to set digital strategy and to ensure that all commitments are met.
  • Cultivate working relationships with existing and new clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years digital advertising sales;
    General and clinical understanding of the endocrinology market and products.
  • Experience in selling bundled packages, including banner ads, podcasts, round tables, eNewsletters, microsites, direct email campaigns, video, other online products and other special projects.
  • Excellent planning, forecasting, financial, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience working in a CRM system (ideally Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication (both written & oral) and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A thorough understanding of digital and custom advertising with the ability to effectively present delivery and engagement metrics.
  • Strong relationships in pharmaceutical and device industries and agencies are a plus.
Required Travel
  • Travel to sales calls (local), 5-6 annual medical conferences.
