Position Summary
The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for Hunting/Archery Merchandise non‑Firearms. This position performs various selling/customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance and direction to customers.
Essential Functions- Ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers by providing legendary service every time.
- Identifies and evaluates customers’ needs, makes product recommendations based on this analysis, and promotes programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and In‑store pickup.
- Demonstrates products to customers and organizes merchandise in the retail store for sales at the gun counter (non‑firearms).
- Replenishes product on shelves and maintains merchandise in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
- Stays knowledgeable of product through ongoing training, advertised sales, pricing and signing.
- Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves and keeps the work area clean, neat, and well stocked.
- Follows all company policies and procedures and performs any other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of retail experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Customer service and sales of Hunting/Archery Merchandise (non‑firearms).
- GCA (Gun Check Application) awareness.
- Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
- None.
- Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally repeat motions involving wrist, hand, or finger.
- Occasionally operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles, or heavy equipment.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 lb constantly, may occasionally lift objects up to 100 lb with team lift.
- Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces and noisy environments.
Performs tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems and makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
