Cashier; To-Go - Forbici

Forbici Modern Italian restaurant is currently hiring CASHIERS (TO-GO) to join our team.

Forbici Modern Italian restaurant, located in Hyde Park Village, serves modern Italian dishes that are made fresh daily, an all Italian wine list, curated craft cocktails, and more. There is something for everyone around the table at Forbici.

The Cashier is responsible for serving guests courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude. The Cashier duties include taking orders in person and over the phone, suggestive selling, ensuring orders are packaged accurately, receiving payment and accurately counting back change.

• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and Guests.
• Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English.

• The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure.
• A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.
• Previous experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Ability to balance and carry trays, multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses.
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
• Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
