Student Assistant (Research Technician) (Finance)
This Student Assistant position serves as a Research Technician supporting a funded Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research project within the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. The selected candidate will assist with study operations, participant recruitment, data collection, and research data management activities essential to the successful execution of the grant‑funded project.
The role involves direct interaction with research participants and collaboration with physicians and clinical staff at the USF Multiple Sclerosis Center. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to follow research protocols accurately.
This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
Qualifications- Strong professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adhere strictly to research protocols.
- Familiarity with neuroperformance or functional assessments (e.g., balance testing, walking tests).
- Prior experience administering surveys or collecting data from human research participants.
- Interest in neurological rehabilitation or clinical research.
- Assist with participant recruitment by coordinating with physicians and staff at the USF Multiple Sclerosis Center to identify and screen potential participants.
- Conduct online screening procedures and obtain HIPAA authorization as required.
- Schedule and coordinate participant study visits.
- Obtain informed consent and collect research data across multiple study visits.
- Administer standardized assessments and complete study‑related procedures.
- Perform data entry, data cleaning, and maintain accurate research records in accordance with study protocols.
- Support overall study operations and ensure compliance with research guidelines.
This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
