Blue Pearl Pet Hospital – Veterinary Receptionist

Shift: Evening weekends required.

Our Veterinary Receptionists are the first Blue Pearl Associate that clients see. You will greet and acknowledge every visitor with a warm smile and professional demeanor. You will assess client needs, determine emergency priority, confirm appointments, and provide emotional support to grieving clients.

• Greet clients and maintain friendly eye contact with a warm acknowledgement.
• Listen compassionately and speak clearly, slowly, and calmly both in person and over the phone.
• Assess each client’s and pet’s immediate needs upon arrival.
• Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus a standard emergency.
• Respond to non‑patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance, ensuring clients receive accurate preparation information.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete and compassionate process.
