This progressive care unit is responsible for taking care of post op abdominal and thoracic surgery patients.
The RN responsibilities include:- Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Professional accountability and development.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Certifications and Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS Certification, if required by department
- Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
- Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
· 6 months of RN experience is required.
· Experience taking care of tubes, drains, ostomy, and wound care is preferred.
