Job Description:

* Schedule 7p-7a

* Collaborates and promotes timely patient placement by following hospital policy for patient admission, discharge, and transfer.

* Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives.

* Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members.

* Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner.

* Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Participates in peer interviewing and peer review processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required]

* Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. [Required]

* Mature judgment and the ability to handle confidential information within guidelines and applicable regulations. [Required]

* Personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, understanding, integrity, respect, sense of humor, discretion, and confidentiality. [Required]

* Ability to communicate verbally in English and in written form with persons of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective, and professional manner. [Required]

Education:

* Associate's of Nursing [Required]

* Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

* 1+ recent and relevant experience [Required]

* 2+ Critical care experience [Preferred]

Licenses and

Certifications:

* Registered Nurse (RN) Required

* BLS, ACLS and NIHSS Required

Pay Range:

$32.76 - $57.47
