RN – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Surgical at Bay Care Health System. “We dedicate our lives to caring for yours.” The Cardiac Surgical unit is a step-down unit that receives post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay. St. Joseph’s Hospital partners with Bay Care Health System, serving the community since 1934.

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• Certifications and Licensures:
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred
• Education:
• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
• Experience:
• 6 months of RN experience is required
