Summary
We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse , to join our team as a Patient Navigator, Full Time, Hybrid to join our team at Moffitt Speros (MAS) in Land O'Lakes, FL.
Opening Late January 2026, Moffitt Cancer Center at Speros (MAS), will be a 91,000 square-feet full-service outpatient facility and 26,000 square-feet Proton Therapy Center designed and equipped to provide the same level of cancer care we provide at our main hospital.

- Patient Navigators are empowered patient advocates who provide individualized, coordinated, and compassionate care to patients, families, and care givers based on their needs and preferences.
- Patient Navigators will provide timely education and access to care while managing resources with an emphasis on collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team throughout all phases of the care continuum.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications :
- Oncology, Radiation, Proton Therapy, Pediatric experience as a registered nurse
- Outpatient experience as a registered nurse
- Strong Communication Skills
Credentials and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing with 5 years of nursing experience
- ASN degree 5 years of nursing experience
- Registered Nurse (RN)
RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL , or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 60 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges) - Basic Life Support (BLS)
Responsibilities:
- Reviews External Records (pre-screens for Clinical Trial Enrollment, Coordinate’s Welcome Tour for both Ambulatory Center and Proton Therapy Center)
- Conducts Pre-Visit Assessment and Communication with Patients.
- Facilitates appointment scheduling and coordination of care, support services consultations, transition from diagnosis to treatment and financial assistance as needed.
- Establishes effective communication to facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to the total management of the patient.
- Provides patient education throughout diagnosis and treatment process.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relation to identified goals and documents the patient’s response to care, revising the plan of care according to the patient/family basic human needs and newly collected data.
- Communicates resolution of problems or suggests options for resolving problems to appropriate resource (e.g. PCM, Clinical Leader, AC, or appropriate committee).
- Proposes solutions and takes action to resolve identified patient-related and unit/clinic problems.
