RN – Registered Charge Nurse

Bay Care Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Medical/Surgical Neuro team at St. Joseph’s Hospital

The Neuro unit consists of neuro medical and neuro surgical patients. Come be a part of a comprehensive stroke unit that takes pride in delivering optimal care.

• Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.

• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
• ACLS Certification if required by department
• RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred

• Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion

• 2 years of RN experience is required
• 1 year of leadership experience is preferred
