Summary
We are currently seeking an Nurse Educator for our South Shore campus:
The MAC Nurse Educator is a registered nurse with specialized oncology training, including expertise in radiation oncology. This role focuses on educating oncology multispecialty nursing staff and patients, ensuring optimal patient care and staff competency across MAC clinics, including radiation oncology practices. Key responsibilities include providing education on radiation therapy procedures, managing side effects, and implementing best practices. The MAC Nurse Educator embodies and promotes the mission, philosophy, and goals of Moffitt Cancer Center, seeking innovative ways to enhance MAC education programs.
Utilizing systematic educational planning, instructional design principles, and emerging technologies, the MAC Nurse Educator develops and delivers relevant programs, materials, and assessment strategies to measure effectiveness. This individual collaborates closely with the Nursing Professional Development (NPD) team to create and disseminate high-quality educational resources, ultimately improving patient outcomes and standardizing the patient experience across all MAC locations.
Minimum Education
Education Level:Bachelor's Degree Nursing

Education Level: Masters of Nursing
Minimum Required LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Current FL Registered Nurse (RN) current BLS
Preferred:
Specialty Certification
- Minimum of three years of relevant oncology nursing experience including Radiation Oncology.
- Knowledge of educational planning processes, instructional methodologies, program development, and evaluation.
- Experience in conducting educational needs assessments.
- Previous teaching and/or education experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Proven organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
