Part Time Preoperative Registered Nurse at Pediatric Surgery Center-Tampa

Pediatric Surgery Center provides first‑class surgical services in an ambulatory setting for children and families. The center offers specialty areas including ENT, GI, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Dental. The Preoperative Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, continually evaluating patient condition, and ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy. The RN assists physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques as appropriate.

The RN provides comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center
• Minimum 1 year in a preoperative setting
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
