RN - Pediatrics

The Pediatric Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Pediatric Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• Collaborate and communicate with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.
• Organize, prioritize, and update plan of care in collaboration with pediatric patients, families, and significant others.
• Identify pediatric patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepare room environment.

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS
• At least one year of RN acute care experience
• Pediatric RN experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing

• PALS
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
