Weekend Nurse Practitioner – Aviata Health Group
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience to join our team in Tampa, Florida. Major Responsibilities- Provide internal medicine services on Saturdays and Sundays as the leading provider in an SNF.
- Collaborate with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and physicians to reduce weekend hospitalizations.
- Work with short- and long-term residents, assisted by nursing staff under guidance from medical directors and attending physicians.
- Evaluate new‑admission visits and coordinate discharge visits.
- Conduct evaluations for patients exhibiting changes in condition.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnoses, and prescribe treatments within protocol for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Communicate patient care information with attending physicians and specialists.
- Healthy work‑life balance with flexibility.
- Malpractice insurance and travel coverage up to $1M/$3M provided by the company.
- Revenue‑split compensation model.
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) with a Florida license.
- Active license and DEA number.
- Previous experience in nursing or related medical fields.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership experience with an emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
- Master’s degree required.
