Position: Receiving Clerk New FL - Tampa

Position Summary

Assist with the receiving logistics functions of the Shipping/Receiving Department.

Comply with district audits following SQF, FDA & SOP requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Process procedures related to the Receiving function of the Operations Department:
  • Schedule receiving appointments and follow up with suppliers that haven’t scheduled appointments.
  • Check in delivery drivers and verify deliveries before being unloaded.
  • Review receiving documents after deliveries and receive them in the inventory system timely.
  • Process MB freight purchase orders for shipping and receiving department.
  • Assist with documents, deliveries, and coordination of product flow in receiving warehouse.
  • Verify Certificate of Analysis with receiving documents and follow up with suppliers that have not provided certificates.
  • Primary between purchasing agents for expected receipts.
  • Maintain detention log and all other tools related to department performance metrics. Create new tracking tools as needed.
  • Maintain electronic files of all paperwork from products received.
  • Work closely with accounting department to correct and/or receive purchase orders.
  • Notify personnel when small packages arrive – i.e., UPS, Fed Ex etc.
  • Acknowledge and follow safety practices that are set forth by EHS Mgr.
  • Follow GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), i.e., help keep warehouse clean and organized.
  • Help with receiving inspections and labeling while product is on the dock.
  • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety requirements and procedures.
  • Responsible for food safety and quality.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with primary counting and/or re-counting and report results to Inventory Cycle Counter.
  • Participate in all quarterly, semi-annual, and fiscal year end counting weekends.
  • Reconcile known inventory errors.
  • Act as backup for inventory count sheets.
  • Process inventory data.
  • Communicate with department teams regarding any further issues, discrepancies, etc.
  • Re-post all adjusted items.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years working in an office setting in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and JD Edwards.
  • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Additional Information

Cycle Counter will serve as back‑up for the Receiving Clerk.
