Maintenance Technician
$1,500 Hiring Bonus - 4/10 work schedule (Mon-Thu, Fri - as needed). Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Tampa!
Responsibilities- Inspect, test, install, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment throughout the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to complete repairs and installations.
- Use hand and power tools, lifts, and hoists as needed; work at heights or in confined spaces; maintain clean, organized work areas.
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and Lockout/Tagout, and document completed work.
- Regular attendance and flexibility for overtime are required.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Ability to diagnose and repair primarily electrical and some mechanical issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and using precision measurement tools.
- Strong problem-solving, visual inspection, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and performing work in a fast-paced, industrial setting while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
- Experience:
Minimum 2 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
