Material Handler

Pay: 19-21/hr

Shift: 2:30PM - 11PM Monday - Friday

Forklift Experience or heavy machinery experience preferred.

As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in packaging and handling materials to meet customer specifications while maintaining high-quality standards. You will be responsible for reviewing order instructions, labeling, and packaging bundles, identifying any damage or quality issues, and operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Package material according to customer specifications while meeting quality standards.
• Review order instructions and handle, label, and package bundles.
• Identify and address damage or quality issues before material leaves the facility.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and report any equipment failures.
• Advocate for safety and provide regular safety observations.
• Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits and good housekeeping.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment as required by safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist with housekeeping and support other areas as required.
• Operate lift truck to transport material within service center.
• Move, place, and stack material in storage areas according to company guidelines.
• Safely maneuver lift truck and material handling equipment through limited space areas.
• Stock and rotate material as necessary.
• Verify counts of product shipped and/or received.
• Stage material for sales and production orders.
• Perform daily lift truck inspections and follow operation guidelines and procedures.

• 3+ years of experience in material handling or warehouse operations.
• Experience with forklift, reach truck, and other material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in inventory management, picking, packing, and production.
• Ability to operate RF scanners and pallet jacks.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes.

• One year of lift truck operation experience.
• Some manufacturing and/or warehouse experience.
• Experience with MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
• Preferred experience in packaging, steel handling, and general labor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
