A locally owned and nationally recognized Printing, Signage, and Marketing Services company in Tampa is looking for an experienced Digital Press Operator. This is where our Production Team comes in!
Our Digital Press Operator works closely with management and our full production team as well as other departments, providing support with the goal of outstanding print quality, effective time management to complete all tasks. We are a fast paced production facility and daily work loads alternate throughout the day. You will be playing a key part in ensuring the client’s projects are fully supported and managed while delivering exceptional project management through the smooth and efficient execution of all phases of the project.
ResponsibilityOverview
- Daily production meetings.
- Monitor orders that are incoming as well as in production.
- Follow systems and procedures.
- Monitor all orders to ensure the high quality that meets the customer's expectations.
- Determine and set priorities for the production area.
- Be aware of all job deadlines and requirements to ensure the most efficient delivery schedule possible.
- Order stock and supplies as needed. Coordinate and manage to ensure minimum waste and spoilage.
- Reject poor quality or incorrect jobs and schedule them to be redone when necessary.
- Three years digital print experience.
- Knowledge of various paper weight, textures and print outcome is essential.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions for machine set‑up and maintenance.
- Ability to lead and build a team.
- Knowledge of all facets including of print production:
Digital press, bindery, prepress, and copying.
- Use and update as necessary the computerized pricing/estimating program.
- Serve customers by taking orders and processing them accordingly.
- Accept and produce copy jobs as needed.
- Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
- Experience including maintaining of various print production equipment, digital presses, cutters, bindery equipment.
