CNC Turning Machinist- 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Manufacturing precision metal products on CNC turning centers. Qualified to operate twin spindle / twin turret machines manufactured by Eurotech and Mori Seiki. Machining metallic and nonmetallic work pieces for the aerospace industry by performing the duties below.

• Read and interpret process plans and blueprints to determine necessary machining, dimensional specifications, and operating requirements
• Utilize various inspection instruments to check work per print
• Complete necessary job-related paperwork including part identification, inspection documents, and production log
• Perform basic equipment maintenance: monitor coolant levels, check filters, ensure fan operation, and clean the machine

• 2 years - Setup and operating twin spindle / twin turret
• 2 years - Precision CNC machining
• Experience with Fanuc controls

• Regularly required to stand and reach for the duration of shift (8 hours)
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Willing to work overtime to meet tight deadlines
• Adheres to safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in noisy environments
• Must have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

$26 - $32 per hour
