Load Builder Operator

Job Details

Perform work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.

• Become familiar with load sheet (by route, by day) and build loads one day ahead.
• Follow load‑building guidance and line cart with clean cardboard before loading product in order of weight, size, type, and other specifications.
• Identify and segregate mats that do not meet quality requirements for stains, gum stains, rips, tears, holes, or wet condition.
• Monitor merchandise that fails to meet specified quality standards.
• Maneuver full and empty carts, and be familiar with safety standards for pushing and pulling carts 50 lbs. or greater.
• Inform supervisor of any shortages every two to four increments based on the market‑center reporting process.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and observe best practices in all production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Understand all required training, written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Work independently and as part of a team, following the daily production plan.
• Meet attendance schedule.
• Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends and overtime as needed.

Work is performed in a warehouse setting and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold, dust, and noise. The position may require the ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 20 lbs. frequently, to move, push, or maneuver carts weighing up to 300 lbs. frequently, to bend, reach, twist, pull, and press above shoulder level, to use hands, wrists, and arms for grasping and other manipulations, and to stand and walk for long periods of time.
