Come join our team as a Prefab Supervisor!

The position of Prefab Supervisor is critical to coordinate prefab materials in the warehouse and to coordinate the prefabrication of materials for onsite installation ensuring first‑time quality and just‑in‑time availability.

Responsibilities
  • With the assistance of shop supervisors, establish, maintain, and manage a skilled workforce and overall resources to meet manufacturing objectives.
  • Actively supervise pre‑fab process
  • Thoroughly maintain organization and cleanliness of shop
  • Consistently receive general materials as needed
  • Effectively managing production schedules, and shifting personnel within and between areas as workload dictates
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement, via lean manufacturing principles, using root cause analysis and effective problem solving skills to improve quality and productivity.
  • Develop, implement and maintain metrics designed to monitor and improve quality and productivity.
  • Manage overall manufacturing costs to meet the operational budget.
  • Efficiently coordinate pickup and deliveries to and from job sites
  • New product implementation
  • Enforce Quality Standards – First Time Quality
  • Fabricate all fixtures and jigs needed for new products and for efficiency gains on existing products
  • Create custom pre‑fab products (condensing racks, material basket lifts, Truck Racks, etc.)
  • Proactively supervise Pre‑Fab staff
  • Intentionally coach and provide constructive feedback to Pre‑Fab staff
  • Workforce Development – Mentor and achieve results through others
  • Proactively follow up and visit with job sites to ensure satisfaction and get feedback on Pre‑Fab products.
  • Competently maintain stock levels of materials for prefabrication
  • Effectively manage and maintain inventory
  • Accurately track time; determine and report job chargeable hours
  • Vigorously track the job schedule to ensure material availability
  • Carefully conduct monthly & quarterly inventory for multi-family of Pre‑Fab material warehouses
  • Urgently manage the pre‑fab inventory and order to maintain stock levels
Qualifications
  • Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Intermediate mathematical abilities
  • Aptitude for prioritizing and coordinating a variety of tasks
  • Independent and proactive problem‑solving and critical thinking
  • Disposition for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization
  • Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently
  • Proficient in using basic office equipment
  • Mastery of entire Microsoft Suite plus Internet and email
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Great Dynamics (GP) and Key2

    Act Signature
  • Ability to investigate, gather information, and be self‑sufficient
  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Plumbing experience preferred
  • 2-4 years supervising or leading field/manufacturing experience

SCHEDULE:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly

Working Conditions
  • The environment may include very loud noises, working near mechanical and moving parts, located in a warehouse/shop related setting
  • Must be able to do the following activities for most of the day: stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, see, talk and hear
  • Must be able to climb or balance regularly
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials
  • Capable and willing to wear jobsite specific personal protective equipment and able to lift at least 40 lbs
