Job Description
As an Inside Machinist, you are responsible for the assembly, installation, modification, and repair of various ship machinery and systems. You set up, service, repair, align, and test machines that operate on a mechanical and electro‑mechanical basis. Skilled with precision, you utilize tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders to repair machine parts to manufacturer specifications. After evaluating procedures, you recommend changes related to the efficiency of setup and production.

- No minimum education or experience requirement
- Knowledge about ships and machinery
- Must have hand tools; employer does not provide tools
- Three (3) years of experience preferred.
