Position SummaryWe are seeking a results-driven and hands-on General Manager to lead operations in Florida. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of site operations including production, quality, safety, maintenance, workforce planning, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, strong financial acumen (P&L Responsibility), technical expertise in plastic injection molding manufacturing, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Work in tandem with to Lead operations ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and efficiency.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the plant leadership teams.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations and foster a safety-first culture.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and the commercial team to ensure project requirements are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas such as cycle time reduction, tooling reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet customer demands.
- Manage site budgets, KPIs, and reporting to executive leadership.
- Troubleshoot technical and production issues.
- Develop and enforce standards for housekeeping, workflow, and preventative maintenance.
- Participate in customer meetings, audits, and support business development where required.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience production molding.
- Strong P&L experience within Manufacturing environment required.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, or trades preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, lean manufacturing, and ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience with plastic injection molding.
- Exposure to mold tryouts, sampling, and tool validation processes.
