Position Summary
GME Project Manager II is responsible for the overall management of projects and activities related to the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) West Florida and the USF Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) Graduate Medical Education (GME) Affiliation Agreement. The role serves as the primary Project Manager for the consortium agreement, overseeing multiple initiatives to ensure timely completion. It reports to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO) of the USF MCOM GME Office and has a dotted‑line reporting relationship to the Vice Chair for Faculty Development in the Department of Medical Education (DME).
The GME Project Manager II frequently serves as the first point of contact for HCA and USF leadership, faculty, and staff regarding questions and projects related to the affiliation agreement. The role requires strong multitasking abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective prioritization skills.
Travel is required between MCOM Downtown Campus, HCA Campus, and USF Main Campus.
ResponsibilitiesHCA/USF GME Affiliation Agreement Administration & Compliance
- Administer and execute the HCA/USF-MCOM affiliation agreement; serve as the principal USF administrative contact with HCA & USF faculty and staff.
- Oversee and coordinate agreement terms and academic resources; interpret agreement requirements and maintain accurate timetables.
- Act as the subject expert & gatekeeper of the agreement and capture compliance data; maintain extensive knowledge of university, college, and department policies and procedures along with national accreditation requirements.
- Record and monitor accreditation metrics for faculty and program activity; track consortium programs’ quality data.
Faculty Development Program Leadership & Implementation
- Serve as Project Manager for Faculty Development within DME; manage planning, coordination, and implementation of faculty development programs and initiatives.
- Develop internal systems, faculty development academies, and program materials to support educational offerings.
- Review and analyze research data and other relevant literature to inform program and project initiatives; oversee delivery of workshops, seminars, and orientation programs.
- Represent the department on campus and university committees; provide subject‑matter support and professional development training as needed.
Academic & Clinical Partnership Administrative Liaison & Operational Support
- Primary administrative liaison to HCA hospitals, Faculty Affairs, and other MCOM clinical departments; represent USF MCOM on various HCA and USF committees.
- Organize and coordinate HCA Executive Board meetings; prepare agendas, assemble materials, attend meetings, and record minutes.
- Communicate initiatives and outcomes; collaborate closely with USF Health/MCOM departments to facilitate academic resources for HCA residents and faculty.
- Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support, including daily calendaring, document preparation, and data tracking.
Strategic Project Planning & Executive Support
- Develop and design presentations and educational programs for DME, GME, and Faculty Affairs to support execution and completion of related projects.
- Establish project timelines and manage resources; create and maintain a matrix to ensure project completion.
- Research and analyze relevant data; develop actionable solutions and communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders.
