We’re seeking a Director of Brand Management to lead the strategy and execution behind our advertising, digital presence, design, signage, and storytelling. This role is for a proven brand leader who can turn vision into action, elevate creative teams, and ensure every touchpoint consistently delivers on our promise.

Position Summary

The Director of Brand Management reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and requires an individual who is action oriented, can think strategically, and who has a passion for tactical and detailed marketing execution. This key member of the marketing team is responsible for the execution of the Zoo’s advertising campaigns, driving consumer awareness and demand, and managing the team who handles digital marketing & technology, website, graphic design and signage.

This position also contributes to providing positive guest experiences, participates in the strategic planning process, and provides direction on brand execution and on the evolution of the Zoo’s identity.

Functional Priorities (including but not limited to):

  • The primary role of the Director of Brand Management is to lead the brand marketing department and oversee all advertising, digital marketing, website, graphic design and in-park signage initiatives.
  • Lead the development and refinement of the brand’s messages and creative designs to communicate brand essence, engage target audiences, and drive demand.
  • Oversee consumer-facing communication approaches for the brand and serves as a primary marketing point of contact with external Zoo partners.
  • Works with Executive Leadership Team in development and evolution of brand identity.
  • Ensure brand positioning and identity is consistently carried throughout all consumer and stakeholder touch points.
  • Organize and traffic creative projects (internally and externally).
  • Guide team that maintains and updates website & mobile app, executes email campaigns & monthly newsletters.
  • Work with agencies to cost effectively advertise and promote the Zoo within annual budget.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess against goals.
  • Manages the Zoo’s marketing budget, which includes monitoring accounts monthly, ensuring all invoices are coded properly and the team and vendors follow all accounting guidelines.
