Storm Duty RequirementsTampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment.

Responsible for providing strong leadership to ensure safe, efficient and cost effective methods are in place for all line clearance activities associated with the construction and maintenance of Tampa Electric Company’s (TEC) transmission and distribution systems. Also responsible for driving change and promoting continuity of line clearance oversight across the services areas. This includes responsibility for line clearance contracted personnel, assigned budgets, equipment, and implementation of proper line clearance methodology.
Responsibilities may also include the daily coordination of clearing for new construction, transmission and distribution maintenance activities and the transmission mowing and herbicide application programs.
