The Manager, CNG Business Development leads the development of compressed natural gas (CNG) and other natural gas solutions for use by vehicles throughout Florida. The role includes planning and development activities to meet the growing demand for natural gas solutions for vehicles and supporting regulatory filings with the Florida Public Service Commission.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, marketing, engineering, economics, finance, science, math, or a related field.
• 5 years related experience in Commercial, Financial, Business Planning, Regulatory or Engineering.
• 3 years experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of alternative fuels, including CNG and RNG services and strategies, with competitive market understanding.
• Excellent analytical, oral, written, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of the interrelationship of commodity prices and impacts on company and customer business.

• Responsible for the growth of Peoples Gas Systems compressed natural gas business development with transportation customers (transit buses, heavy duty/medium trucks, and waste haulers) using CNG. This includes origination, negotiation, and execution of contracts for CNG fuel customers, as well as strategy development, regulatory filings, and market assessments. Deliverables include executable opportunities aligned with 5‑year and 10‑year plans, natural gas supply/demand dynamics, environmental scans, and SWOT analyses.
• Responsible for negotiating agreements for compressed natural gas infrastructure investments with transportation customers, coordinating proactive management reviews and approvals of business and strategic rationale. CNG investments are coordinated with RNG and LNG business teams and other alternative fuels initiatives. Manage customers to meet current and future natural gas energy needs, providing sales, marketing, natural gas consulting, project costing, feasibility, and contract negotiations.
• Manage accounts of existing Peoples Gas System compressed natural gas customers in Florida and develop a commercial network in Florida and the southeastern U.S. to leverage relationships for future business opportunities. Participate in industry conferences, events, and customer meetings.
• Oversee implementation and administration of personnel management programs, including staffing, succession planning, performance management, and training and development. Provide supervision, direction, training, and leadership, preparing and administering performance evaluations, authorizing and monitoring any compensated time of direct reports. Ensure effective integration of people, processes, and technology to provide quality customer service and client satisfaction.
• Maintain a good understanding of the energy industry by staying abreast of alternative fuel market dynamics, technology improvements, gas market conditions, legislation, rates, and tariff requirements. Monitor regulatory changes and initiate filings, if needed, in support of business developments for compressed natural gas in coordination with PGS Regulatory.

• Three (3) plus years of direct CNG (compressed natural gas) experience.
• Direct knowledge and experience with the Florida alternative fuel market, CNG customers, and Florida Public Service Commission regulatory processes.
