Responsibilities- Apply a thorough understanding of contract lifecycle management practices to oversee and manage a portfolio of contracts; retain executed contracts and support document and information gathering for quarterly reviews, internal audits, and client claims.
- Recommend and execute process enhancements and improvements; document current policies, processes, and protocols to ensure consistency; manage contract repository and engagement data to maximize value.
- Act as end‑to‑end point of contact throughout the contract management process, escalating to leadership when necessary; review client redlines and terms, leverage playbooks and guides, and negotiate directly with clients.
- Interface regularly with business partners, professionals and external clients to drive desired outcomes; apply good judgment on risk and growth to protect the organization.
- Execute tactical plans that support strategic objectives; conduct client discussions to address key business/regulatory risks and provide guidance on applicable terms.
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation within tasks, processes and procedures; lead small projects, manage deadlines and expectations, mentor junior staff, and serve as a formal performance manager when appropriate.
- Act with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum five years of recent experience managing a portfolio of commercial contracts, purchase orders or similar roles; experience with IDIQs, MSAs, STCs, prime contracts, subcontracts, and task orders, and with state or municipal government entities.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required; master’s or industry certifications from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
- Strong ability to identify contract risks and mitigation strategies, and to articulate improvement opportunities based on contract lifecycle knowledge and market trends.
- Excellent project and process management skills, with a track record of making concrete decisions that impact the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of responsibility and authority and to foster high‑performance teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without U.S. work‑visa sponsorship.
California Salary Range: $101,200 – $215,100.
