Custodians are responsible for providing an enhanced learning environment that exemplifies IDEA’s commitment to excellence through a clean, safe, high‑quality facility.

• Hourly rate $15.00–$17.25 based on experience
• Eligible for a performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment

• Understand and follow cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance Accountabilities / Responsibilities
  • Provide a clean and healthy environment that guarantees an enhanced learning environment
  • Achieve a proficient rating on the Facilities Rubric and Facilities Audit
  • Execute assigned work orders, ensuring 90% of campus projects are completed within 48 hours
  • Complete all daily cleaning responsibilities with attention to detail
  • Collaborate with Facilities Manager on capital expenditures (Cap Ex) planning
  • Complete Safe Schools training by deadline and use all personal protective equipment (PPE) 100% of the time
  • Keep chemicals on‑hand locked and report unsafe situations immediately
  • Minimize consumption of all materials and maintain accurate inventory logs
  • Order supplies per campus guidelines and properly maintain heavy equipment
  • Maintain zero unexcused absences, consistent punctuality, and demonstrate a team‑player attitude
  • Be willing to work extra hours as needed to meet mission goals
