Senior Floor Technician

SENIOR FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

SSC Services For Education is looking for a Senior Floor Technician to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role is full‑time and requires previous experience in floor care.

SSC - 4202 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33620. Openings at other locations within the school district are available.

Full‑time schedule, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary; details provided during interview.

Pay Range: $15.00 – $19.00 per hour.

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Maintain knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and apply proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
