Lead Maintenance Technician

The Lead Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in all of the property’s maintenance needs, physical appearance, and work orders. The role involves hands‑on maintenance of the property, general upkeep and repair to units and grounds, responding according to company policy to work order requests, the turn and make ready process, and maintaining excellent resident relations through outstanding customer service.

Rotating on‑call and some weekend availability required.

• Participate in the daily operations of the property.
• Respond to work orders per company policy.
• Perform grounds and exterior upkeep as needed.
• Handle the turn and make ready process.
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections.
• Inspect units for move‑in readiness.
• Ensure company policy and state and federal safety and fair housing laws are adhered to.
• Perform hands‑on maintenance.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with ideas to improve the property and position.

• 3+ years of maintenance experience, required.
• Maintenance experience in multi‑unit complexes, apartments, or hotels preferred.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, required.
• HVAC certification, required.
  
  Mechanical background, preferred.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to lift and work with heavy equipment.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the property and have a valid driver’s license.
