Overview
We've partnered with a law firm who're seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience who is looking for meaningful, hands-on litigation work within a flexible and sustainable professional environment. This role is well-suited for an attorney who values autonomy, strategic thinking, and exposure to a diverse and sophisticated caseload, while also maintaining balance and adaptability in their work structure.
The position offers the opportunity to manage matters across Florida, handling cases from pre-suit through resolution, including appeals where applicable. Attorneys in this role are trusted with significant responsibility and are encouraged to approach litigation with both legal rigor and practical business judgment.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, trials, post-judgment enforcement, and appeals.
- Represent clients in a broad range of matters, including:
Real estate and landlord-tenant disputes (construction liens, easements, title issues, mortgage disputes, HOA/COA matters). - Commercial and business litigation (breach of contract, UCC disputes, unfair trade practices, tortious interference, fraud).
- Employment-related disputes involving non-compete agreements and restrictive covenants.
- Bankruptcy litigation and creditor rights matters.
- Insurance-related disputes and collection actions.
- Advise clients on business matters such as entity formation, dissolution, and contract negotiation.
- Develop litigation strategies aligned with clients' broader business objectives.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 3 to 6 years of litigation experience in one or more of the listed practice areas
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases independently and think strategically
- Comfortable handling responsibility and client-facing work
- Flexible work arrangements: in-office, Hybrid (Mandatory in-office presence for the first 6 months).
