Overview
Our client is a financially strong commercial P&C carrier known for its relationship-driven underwriting model and selective agency partnerships. Rather than a high-volume approach, underwriters work closely with a limited number of trusted agencies, allowing for deeper relationships and better underwriting outcomes.
Responsibilities- Underwrite and manage new and renewal middle-market accounts
- Analyze risk, loss history, and financials to determine pricing and terms
- Partner closely with assigned agencies through proactive communication
- Collaborate with claims and loss control teams
- Maintain underwriting discipline while supporting long-term partnerships
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience
- Experience with $500K+ premium accounts (a plus)
- Strong knowledge of WC, GL, Auto (Property a plus)
- Relationship-oriented with clear, confident communication skills
- Selective agency partnerships (quality over quantity)
- Empowered underwriting and collaborative culture
- Stable carrier with long-term growth focus
