Description
SAIC has an immediate opening for a PC Technician to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - This critical position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at Mac Dill AFB in Tampa, FL.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (Net Ops); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management;
conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
We are seeking a Desktop/PC Technician to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct Tier I–II technical support for the lifecycle of services, hardware devices, multi-vendor applications, connectivity, and end-user environments. Deliver technical support for USSOCOM personnel, including real-time troubleshooting of end-user device hardware/software, connectivity, and access issues. Apply advanced troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software, network connectivity, and user experience issues.
Desktop/PC Technicians work closely with other IT teams and service providers to ensure seamless operation and support of our IT infrastructure.
- Configure, issue, secure, and maintain desktop PCs and laptops, including their associated peripherals
- Provision, configure, and support desktop PCs and laptops to enable secure remote access to enterprise and mission systems
- Perform device imaging, configuration, patching, updates, and lifecycle management for endpoint and IT equipment
- Provide direct support for secure email, collaboration platforms, remote access services, setup/test services, and enterprise solutions
- Coordinate/facilitate troubleshooting with enterprise service providers, network operations, and Cybersecurity teams for issues requiring escalation beyond Tiers 0-I
- Deliver rapid response in time-sensitive and mission-critical situations
- Maintain asset accountability, configuration, documentation, and operational readiness status for IT equipment
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Current CompTIA Security+ Certification / IAT2
- Current Top Secret (TS) Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- CompTIA Net+, A+ or higher-level IT Certifications
- Previous experience with end-to-end IT support, including endpoints, connectivity, and collaboration technologies
- Exceptional IT troubleshooting skills across multiple technology domains
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; high level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service
- Ability to excel/perform/work independently and must be a proactive team player
- Minimum 8 years with HS Diploma, 4 years with AS/AA degree, 2 years with BS/BA, 0-2 years with MS/MA
