WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop Engineering Managers and senior engineers across 3 teams (career growth, feedback, performance, hiring).
- Own execution across multiple parallel initiatives: planning, sequencing, dependencies, delivery predictability, and risk management.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Support/Operations, and leadership to translate business priorities into technical roadmaps.
- Ensure a healthy engineering system: SDLC, code review standards, CI/CD, reliability, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Drive technical strategy with architects/tech leads: system design, scalability, security, and tech debt management.
- Improve communication and alignment: clear status reporting, stakeholder updates, and transparent tradeoffs.
- Build a strong team culture centered on accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams (ideally 2–4+) in a software engineering organization.
- Strong technical background (you can dive into architecture, review designs, and challenge assumptions).
- Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building and scaling engineering processes (planning, estimation, release management, quality practices).
- Track record of hiring and developing high-performing teams (including managers).
- Ability to balance speed and quality, and make clear tradeoffs under changing priorities.
- Experience with integrations (APIs, partner systems, data imports/exports), multi-tenant SaaS, and enterprise reporting.
- Experience with modern cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, and data-driven systems.
- Experience leading distributed / nearshore / remote teams.
- Familiarity with compliance, security, and reliability best practices.
